Therapeutic Refuge for Inspired Balance & Expression

TRIBE is an exploratory, culturally-based model for healing and wellness that is rooted in an indigenous value system. It is an empowered response to the ways that the status quo of a monocultural, dominant society impacts our ability to live freely; and provides an alternative to traditional wellness and treatment models that fail to address these important cultural influences.

TRIBE is a celebration of the roots we all share and the uniqueness between us; from which, there is a deep well of wisdom - to give and to receive.

Seekers find refuge in an affirming environment that celebrates diversity, united by a shared intention to harmoniously find balance, inspiration, and engage in authentic expression. Weaving mind-body wellness, spirituality, expressive arts, communion with nature, sustainability, mentorship, and activism,

TRIBE beckons seekers to embark upon a collective journey that honors the many paths to becoming.

Once upon a time...

The pioneers of the psychology field set out to create a global base of scientific knowledge regarding human behavior, emotions, and cognitions. In order to achieve this task, the historical and cultural influences on human behavior and psychopathology were largely dismissed. Little did they know, the purposeful exclusion of diversity in their philosophies do not free them from cultural influence, but rather reflect the attitudes of the dominant, privileged world from whence they came.
